Capt. Floyd Benjamin was born in Duluth, Minn. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. At Seaboard, he served as Chief Pilot - Atlantic Division during the Korean War. He was appointed to that position at age 33.
Floyd was survived by his wife, Margaret "Marge" Palmer Benjamin; sons Floyd Jr., Mark, Lee Charles and Eric; daughters Mrs. Cecelia Brutz, Mrs. Gary Burhance, Miss Coralee, and Miss Terri; his brother, Ivan; his sister Mrs. Mary Jane Boughner; and three grandchildren.
