Doug Erwin flew briefly for Seaboard around 1964 as a flight engineer. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army 308th Field Artillery Battalion. He also flew for Eastern, National and Pan American. He had a commercial pilot's license and was a flight instructor for more than thirty years. He was a long-time resident of Roxbury CT, where he served for 53 years as a member of the Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department and for over 25 years as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Doug is survived by his daughters Gail Erwin and Gwen Marron, and by his sister Joyce Geiger.
