Jesse Watson was born in Houston, Tex. He served as a navigator in the U. S. Air Force. He was hired by Seaboard in 1966. He also owned and operated a bookstore chain, Books-N-Things, in Harlingen Tex. for over 30 years. He also worked for the post office, Missouri Pacific Railroad for over 20 years, and later as a real estate appraiser.
Jesse was predeceased by three siblings: Jerome Watson, Wynonna Parrish and Nannie Ola Walling. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Allen Watson; 4 children, Jesse Watson III (Celeste), George Watson (Nydia), Mickey Watson (Cyndi), Mary Marshall (Scott); 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
