Capt. Hal Bemis was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Manhasset, NY. He served as a C-130 pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps. After the Marine Corps, Hal flew for TWA for a short time before joining Seaboard in 1966.
Hal left no immediate surviving family members. His sister, Jacqueline, died in 2014. Hal is seen here at the Seaboard lunch in Danbury, Conn. on August 12th, 2009.
