Lloyd Churchey

Lloyd Churchey was born Sharpsburg, Md. He died in Jackson, Mich. under the loving care of his family, Trellis Garden caregivers, and Great Lakes Hospice. He was 91 years old. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myrtle; daughter Joan E. (John K.) Feldvary; son, Robert L. (Phyllis) Churchey; grandchildren Kyle L. (Andrea) Feldvary, Keri R. (Bronson) Macken, Shannon (Avery) Moon, and Ryan (Kevin Jr.) Buzard; great grandchildren Asher J. Feldvary and Ethan J. Macken. He was predeceased by his sisters Ruth, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Josephine; and brothers Grover, Raymond, and Howard.

Lloyd was an aircraft mechanic for financier J. P. Morgan before being employed by Eastern Airlines as an aircraft mechanic for 16 years. In 1956, he became a flight engineer for Seaboard where he flew the Constellation, CL-44, DC-8 and the B-747. During his time at Seaboard, he also obtained a pilot's license. He retired in 1981.

Lloyd was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He also was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener, with a great love and care for the outdoors.
