Jere Farrah was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in both aeronautical and mechanical engineering. He joined American Airlines in 1942 and held several positions in maintenance and engineering. He became vice president of of maintenance & engineering for Seaboard in 1958.
Jere also served as adjunct professor of aeronautical engineering at the New York University graduate school.
