Capt. Carl Hirschberg served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. At Seaboard, he served as Chief Pilot and as Vice-President, Flight Operations. He is seen here after his last flight (with Flying Tigers) in 1982.
Carl was survived by his wife, Alice; and daughter, Dana Northern, from his first marriage. He is seen here after his last flight with Flying Tigers, the day before his 60th birthday. Flight attendant Pat Parlette, seen on the right, improvised a cake, and made "candles" out of drinking straws.
