Joe Paiva was born in New Bedford, Mass. He joined the U.S. Army just after his 18th birthday, shortly before the end of World War II. Joe joined Seaboard as a flight engineer in 1957 and retired from Flying Tigers in 1989 before the merger with FedEx.
Joe was predeceased by his wife of forty-three years, Helene, on November 20, 2021. The photos show them at the reunion in Orlando, Fla. in March 2014.
