Capt. Roy Van Treuren

Capt. Roy Van Treuren was born in Clifton, N.J. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His airline career, at Seaboard and Flying Tigers, spanned 38 years. His love of flying was passed on to his son Ken who attended the United States Air Force Academy and become an Air Force pilot before he became a professor of engineering.

Roy is survived by his wife, Regina (Van Den Heuvel) Van Treuren; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Patti Van Treuren of Goshen, Ky.; Kenneth W. and Renee Van Treuren of Waco, Tex.; Bradford and Catherine Van Treuren of Lambertville, N.J.; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Nettie Van Treuren of Pompton Plains, N.J.; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Gerald Wit of St. Charles, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Erik, Kari, Ben, James, Michael, Bryson, Sherry, Jeffrey, Timothy and Austin; several nieces and nephews.
