In 1954, former Seaboard Flight Radio Operators trained to be Flight Engineers on Seaboard's new Lockheed Super Constellations. Part of the training was provided by Curtiss-Wright, the manufacturer of the Connie's engines at the Wright Aeronautical Division Service School.
